Incoming orders describe which order confirmations have been received in the period under review, based on the document or planning date. The order backlog then calculates the difference between incoming orders and sales and thus shows the deliveries or services still outstanding according to the order confirmation. The gross profit is then the turnover minus the cost of goods and materials.
